It costs approximately $35 per day to support each family in our program. Your donation helps Families Helping Families provide the resources and support families need as they work toward a more stable future.

Give a Gift Card
For many of our families, shopping for everyday necessities, or something special for a child, is a luxury. A gift card give a parent the dignity and flexibility to choose what her family needs most.
We greatly appreciate gift cards from: Grocery stores, Target, Walmart, Kohl’s, Gas stations
Gift cards for gas can help our clients get to work, school, appointments, and other important destinations.

Donate a Car
A safe, reliable vehicle can be life-changing for a family.
Our families need transportation to get to work, school, appointments, and other essential activities. Donating a vehicle can give a family facing homelessness a greater opportunity to achieve stability and a fresh start.

Support Education Through the Bruce Terlep Memorial Education Fund
Education can open doors to a brighter future. The Bruce Terlep Memorial Education Fund was established by Bruce’s wife, Ginger, an FHF mentor and board member, and their three sons in memory of Bruce, a dedicated supporter of Families Helping Families of Illinois.
The fund helps FHF moms and their children pursue higher education.
To direct your donation specifically to the Bruce Terlep Memorial Education Fund, click Donate Now and select: “Credit my gift to the Bruce Turlep Memorial Education Fund.”

Looking for a meaningful way for your company, school, church, club, family, or community group to give back?
Families Helping Families can work with your group to identify service opportunities based on your group’s size, interests, skills, and schedule.
Whether you’re looking to build teamwork, serve your community, or support local families, we’d love to work with you.
Help Fill the Resource Closet
Our families often qualify for food assistance, but food assistance cannot be used to purchase many personal-care and cleaning products.
That’s where our Resource Closet comes in. You can help provide everyday necessities such as:

- Personal hygiene products
- Sanitary items
- Other household and personal-care essentials
